It’s no secret that our nation is deeply divided along political lines. These divisions extend to churches.

Earlier this year, CBFNC pastors were invited to participate in research on this topic by UNC Chapel researchers, Professors Liesbet Hooghe and Gary Marks. Many pastors responded and as a result, CBFNC churches were well represented in the research sample.

On October 12 at 2:00 p.m. (ET), Professors Hooghe and Marks will join Larry Hovis to present a webinar on Zoom in which they share their findings, particularly the unique position of CBFNC congregations. We will also discuss potential avenues for congregations to exert a positive witness in this politically charged time.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God (Matthew 5:9).
