Who is the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina?
Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina (CBFNC) was founded in 1994 as a fellowship of Baptists in North Carolina sharing a commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, preserving historic Baptist freedoms and calling out God’s gifts in Christians and churches to engage in Christ-centered ministry in our state and around the world.
With administrative offices in Winston-Salem, CBFNC is governed by a Coordinating Council, elected each year at our Annual Gathering. Day-to-day ministries are led by a staff employed by the Council, under the leadership of the Executive Coordinator. Though we are a free-standing body, CBFNC is grateful to partner with the larger CBF movement of God’s people, including CBF Global (with primary offices in Decatur, Georgia), and state and regional CBF organizations.
CBFNC facilitates a vast network of partner ministries including historic Baptist agencies and institutions as well as newer organizations that share our values and mission. Our primary partners are local churches, their members, and other Christians who desire to be in fellowship and mission together. CBFNC exercises no ecclesiastical control over churches and ministers.
CBFNC is not a member organization but a partnership of equals. If you embrace our mission, principles, commitments and values, and desire to share in our ministries, you are welcome in our fellowship.
