CBF North Carolina (CBFNC) is excited to announce that we are now offering legal resources to our partner churches, ministers and lay leaders. Jason Cogdill, attorney and CBFNC treasurer, is our new legal resource partner who will provide one-on-one consultation and advising. He will also assist CBFNC staff in providing educational materials, webinars and training resources on legal issues that are relevant to churches. Some of you may be familiar with Jason from his prior CBFNC webinars on employee benefits and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
“For many years through the good work of Jim Hylton, CBFNC has sought to be a trusted resource to churches around the practical issues of financial, personnel and legal issues. Jason has often been part of that offering,” said Larry Hovis, CBFNC executive coordinator. “Now, through a more robust partnership with him, we can offer even more assistance with these critical matters. I’m excited for the ways Jason will help CBFNC strengthen our support for churches.”
“I am eager to expand my work with CBFNC as well as its partner churches and individuals. I am called to be an advocate for churches and ministers doing the work of the Gospel in the world, and I seek to be a trusted resource and partner in ministry,” said Jason Cogdill, CBFNC legal resource partner.
