CBFNC’s Ministerial Transitions Team hosts regular Zoom conversations as shared learning experiences for representatives from search teams across our state. Each conversation offers support to search teams by focusing on a specific topic related to minister searches, whether your church is searching for a senior pastor or another pastoral staff position. Conversations are typically held on Mondays each month at 6:30 p.m. (ET) with a specific topical focus.
These calls are designed for 2–3 members of a given search team to participate.
Please do not plan to have your entire committee/team in the conversation.
Registration is required and there is a separate registration for each conversation.
Zoom links will be sent following registration.

Second Glance: Why and How You Should Examine Past Candidates
What if the best candidate for your church was one you passed on months ago? More often than not, search teams rigorously sort through resumés to find the perfect candidate in the early stages of the process, convinced they know exactly the type of person and experience needed. However, some of the candidates deserve a second glance and conversation. During this interactive session, we will explore why you should reexamine candidates you might have already passed on and how to re-engage them.
