- Everything you ever wanted to know about CBF Global Missions but were afraid to ask!
Come meet Dianne for a review of CBF Global Missions. What materials does CBF provide for different ages? How to order materials? What do I do with this stuff now? How to request a mission speaker? Where do we send our offering? And more. Bring your questions and check out the newest materials available. (Led by Dianne McNary, Former CBF Missionary & current CBF Offering for Global Missions Advocate) - Deacons as Spiritual Leader
Whether the Deacons of your congregation are expected to perform tasks of caring, administration, planning, supervision, and/or ministry coordination, their role is primarily that of spiritual leadership. In this session, learn how a focus on the commands and commission of Jesus to love God, love your neighbor, love one another, and go out and make disciples can keep deacon ministry and the congregation they serve spiritually focused. (Led by Jack Glasgow, retired after 40+ year pastorate at Zebulon Baptist; current interim pastor at Longview, Raleigh) - CBFNC 101
Where did the CBF movement come from? What do we believe? What are our ministries? What is the relationship between CBF North Carolina and CBF? Spend time with a CBFNC leader to explore these questions and more. (Led by Larry Hovis, Executive Coordinator, CBFNC) - Rebranding Evangelism: Jesus-Centered Engagement
Evangelism is good news—so why does it sound so bad? In this interactive workshop, we’ll name the barriers that make us wary of evangelism and consider how to move beyond them. Together we’ll explore how Jesus’ way of neighboring—through presence, hospitality, and invitation—offers a fresh, joyful vision of evangelism for everyday life. (Led by Ron Cava, Senior Minister, First Baptist Henderson)
