Join other CBFNC-ers from the northeastern part of our state for a special time of fellowship. The gathering will feature informative breakout sessions, a fellowship meal and meaningful worship.  Featured speakers are Marc and Kim Wyatt. Marc works for CBFNC as the Welcome House Raleigh Ministries director, and Kim Wyatt is field personnel for CBF Global and co-founded Welcome House Raleigh with Marc. The gathering will feature informative breakout sessions, a fellowship meal and meaningful worship.

    Whether the Deacons of your congregation are expected to perform tasks of caring, administration, planning, supervision, and/or ministry coordination, their role is primarily that of spiritual leadership. In this session, learn how a focus on the commands and commission of Jesus to love God, love your neighbor, love one another, and go out and make disciples can keep deacon ministry and the congregation they serve spiritually focused. (Led by Jack Glasgow, retired after 40+ year pastorate at Zebulon Baptist; current interim pastor at Longview, Raleigh)

    Evangelism is good news—so why does it sound so bad? In this interactive workshop, we’ll name the barriers that make us wary of evangelism and consider how to move beyond them. Together we’ll explore how Jesus’ way of neighboring—through presence, hospitality, and invitation—offers a fresh, joyful vision of evangelism for everyday life.  (Led by Ron Cava, Senior Minister, First Baptist Henderson)
