Dr. LaMont J. Johnson, Sr., is a native of Orange, NJ, and has been in ministry for 28 years. He is the proud pastor of the historic West Durham Baptist Church of Durham, NC. along with serving his alma mater, Shaw University, as assistant professor of practical ministry, preaching & worship, and coordinator of the Thomas J. Boyd Chapel. Dr. Johnson has earned degrees from Virginia Union University, Shaw University Divinity School, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Drew University, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. His four sons are the joy of his life.
