History: Since 1967 Camp Dixie has provided overnight retreat and camp options in eastern North Carolina. Over 10,000 people of all ages come through the gates each year.

Don Lee Center provides retreat facilities and experiences for all ages, all year long. Check out what we like to think is the “Don Lee Difference”:
•  All-Inclusive Pricing: You don’t have to nickel and dime yourself to choose your activities! All rates for overnight groups include use of meeting areas, selected activities, and general support for your group event. The activities, facilitated by Don Lee Staff can include: archery, canoeing, sailing, swimming, hayrides, challenge course, campfires, and fishing.
•  Home-Cooked Meals: This isn’t the food you had when you went to summer camp! Meals are an event at Don Lee. They are served family-style, and our trained Chefs prepare every meal with great care. You won’t go hungry.
•  The Retreat Ministries Coordinator: Our staff includes a full-time Retreat Ministries Coordinator, who will be with you from your first contact through the event itself. The RMC will be your guide at all stages of your planning process, including registration, scheduling and throughout the weekend to be sure the event is running smoothly.

General Information: The dining hall seats between 150-175 for meals or 250 for lectures. The dining hall is available to day groups. Three meals are served to groups of 30 or more. The unit lodge seats 25-30 and has a full kitchen. The large picnic pavilion is great for outdoor meetings with picnic tables. The swimming pool pavilion is great for small to medium sized groups who desire shade and/or cover. All 8 bunkhouse cabins sleep 12 people and have a bathroom with 2 showers. Cabins are heated. The rustic village is great for authentic camping experiences. A bathhouse is provided for outdoor camping. Designated areas are provided for campfires.
Activities Facility Offers: swimming (groups may rent our pool facility), canoes, grounds, amphitheater, hiking and walking, and fishing.

NC Baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell

History of facility: Tucked away in the eastern tip of Oak Island, the North Carolina Baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell occupies the site of a former Civil War fort. Since 1949, when the Baptist State Convention bought the property from the federal government, Caswell has been an instrument of peace, offering NC Baptists and others a place of quiet reflection and relaxation. We invite you to come and visit us here at Caswell, and discover the peace and beauty that thousands of others have enjoyed.

Activities facility offers to groups: We are located on the tip of Oak Island and are surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the Cape Fear River and unsullied marsh lands. The fishing pier is a favorite for many of our guest as well as swimming at our beach swimming area. Most of the other optional activities are free and are open to all guests. For a complete list of activities and for a price list on the ones that do have an additional cost.
Meal options: We have two dining facilities and offer a wide variety of meal options for our guest. We also have cottages with kitchens for groups wishing to provide their own meals.

We offer programs in environmental education and small group challenges which are lead by our staff for a fee. Local attractions include the North Carolina Aquarium and Fort Macon State Park, surf fishing or deep sea diving, jet-ski and kayak rentals.
Meal options: All meals are included with your stay. Usually served buffet-style, but sometimes family-style. We do not have space for groups to prepare their own meals.
