Join us as we kick off this new workshop retreat series for CBFNC pastors in established congregations.
This first retreat will focus on “Pastoral Leadership in an Age of Polarization” and will be led by David R. Brubaker.
Each workshop retreat is designed for interaction and engagement with the topic, workshop leader, and fellow pastors, and is limited to 16 participants. The program begins with dinner on Sunday evening and concludes with lunch on Tuesday. The $100 registration fee covers all meals, two-nights accommodation in a single room with private bath, and workshop materials. Dietary restrictions and special room and access needs can be provided. The event is open to pastors and staff ministers.
The February Retreat is Sold Out
About Helping Pastors Thrive
As a ministry of CBFNC, Helping Pastors Thrive is a leadership development program for pastors. It provides them with opportunities for relational learning, spiritual formation and professional development in the practices of Christian ministry across the vocational life span. It focuses on 3 distinct vocational stages: (1) new pastors in their first years of congregational ministry; (2) pastors navigating the complex challenges of ministry in older, established churches; and, (3) experienced pastors who are 5-7 years away from retirement. The program was made possible by a grant from the Lilly Endowment’s “Thriving in Ministry Initiative.” The Lilly Endowment is an Indianapolis-based, private philanthropic foundation created in 1937 by members of the Lilly family through gifts of stock in their pharmaceutical business, Eli Lilly and Company.
